Tourism Week in Canada • May 23 – 30, 2021
The tourism sector across Canada and in Mississauga, like many other local businesses has been hit especially hard by the pandemic and the uncertainty around travel. Annual visitors from both near and far are staying home, and COVID restrictions are keeping doors closed.

“COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on our tourism industry. Pre-COVID, tourism was one of the fastest growing industries in the world and was a leading economic driver in Mississauga. – Mayor Bonnie Crombie.
